Peer Engagement

Building Trust, Building Community

The forging of relationships is not peripheral to Woodlots; it is essential. It is when members connect over a shared love of their forests that they begin to trust one another and open up with stories, goals, concerns, and strategies. These social connections turn individuals working with individual forest parcels into teams who learn from each other, motivate each other, understand how their parcels interact with each other, and empower one another to accomplish their collective goals.

Each gathering includes a food-sharing component because we find that the casual conversations that occur over food are every bit as valuable as the educational content of the programming.
